DOPPIO COFFEE HOUSE

This past weekend I had the chance to visit the cutest coffee shop in Lincoln Park which just opened in 2018. It is family owned by husband & wife - Murat and Sandra, and I got a chance to hear their story & try the delicious items on their menu.

Doppio Coffee is an amazing neighborhood spot to grab a cup of coffee. They have an extensive list of craft coffee, loose leaf tea, & you can also add CBD to your drink. They specialize in signature open-faced sandwiches and they were truly so tasty. My favorite thing about them was how incredibly fresh every single sandwich was. You can really tell that they use high-quality ingredients and take lots of care with preparing the food.

This is the perfect spot, whether you want to grab-and-go or sit for a few hours. One thing that stood out to me was their overall ambiance. Many coffee shops nowadays play extremely loud music and make it difficult to have a conversation or get some work done. I loved that Doppio Coffee had soft music which made it really pleasant to sit for a longer duration.

Hearty Vegetarian | eggplants, sweet peppers, tomatoes & garlic roasted in EVOO topped with fresh parsley.

Ancient Grain | house made creamy garbanzo spread made with tahini, EVOO, lemon juice, garlic, middle eastern spices topped with slow roasted garbanzo beans, sumac & fresh arugula.

Pomidoro Fresco | slow roasted grape tomatoes, dressed with EVOO, fresh basil, & oregano, nestled on a creamy ricotta & mozzarella mix.

Berry Good | fresh blueberries tossed in lemon juice, mint, honey, roasted almonds, and lemon zest on ricotta cheese.

Good Berry | fresh strawberries tossed in roasted almonds, coconut flakes, lemon zest, mint, & honey on ricotta cheese.

Additionally, their pastries are out of this world. My absolute favorite ended up being the blueberry danish which was filled with cream cheese & blueberries and actually was one that they had just created that week. They also have lots of breakfast options that are easy to take with you on the go such as overnight oats and energy balls.

My overall experience here was amazing. Because their menu was limited, it ensured every single item was made perfectly. The owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met and really go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. I can't recommend Doppio Coffee House enough and I can't wait to be back!
